Cardinal History

The show started with 30 competitors in 5 classes and grew over the years to well over 60 competitors and 10+ classes that are offered now. Offering 6 WNBF Pro cards in the Open divisions! Along with the continued growth, Karen is credited for growing the interest and talents of ‘Natural’ bodybuilding in the Youngstown area.

Karen continues to be a huge part of the Cardinal Classic success, typically standing in as Head Judge, as well as encouraging more athletes to excel in their abilities. The show relies on 7 additional judges, most of whom are WNBF Pros and/or Promoters in the Tri State area, to determine the best of each competitor fairly and professionally.

Each competitor is required to take a polygraph before each show and all winners of a WNBF Pro Card is required to take a urinalysis to abide by the strict policies of the INBF /WNBF drug free stipulations! Once a person earns their WNBF Pro Card, a polygraph and urinalysis is mandatory for each show they wish to enter. As well as, all Pros may be subjected to a random drug test at any time! We are proud to have these drug free policies in place as they are the strictest in any of the Natural organizations.
